GENERAL DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

Safflower Oil is a nonyellowing oil derived from carthamus tinctor seed; consists of high proportion of linoleic acid and oleic acid in the form of triglyceride. This compound is used in varnishes, food oil blends, dietary supplements and alkyd resins. It is used in medicines for the treatment of atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia and prophylaxis. It is a solubilizer for flavors and fragrances.
